Two-Year-Old Preschool Program
Our program is designed to help young children ease into social settings with confidence. Using a hands-on approach to learning, we spark curiosity and wonder while supporting motor skill development through purposeful play. Each month, children explore a new theme that introduces fresh concepts and helps them better understand the world around them.
Many children in this program are just beginning to separate from their caregivers. We guide this transition gently and at each child's pace. Our experienced teachers partner closely with parents and caregivers to support positive separation techniques that help children feel safe, secure, and ready to explore independently. As children begin to follow our daily routine on their own, they develop greater independence and self-confidence. We place a strong emphasis on language development, encouraging children to express themselves with both teachers and peers. Through storytelling, imaginative play, and creative art activities, children learn to share their thoughts and ideas in a nurturing environment.
Social-emotional growth is woven into everything we do. Teachers help children learn to take turns, begin to share, resolve conflicts with words, and treat others with kindness and respect. Children also have the opportunity to meet and learn about a variety of animals during their time at The Art Farm. These experiences spark curiosity and compassion while deepening their understanding of the natural world around them.

Julie has been a valued member of The Art Farm community since 2014 and currently serves as the lead teacher in the Two’s classroom. With experience working with young children since 2012, she brings warmth and a deep understanding of early childhood development to her role. Julie is passionate about supporting social-emotional growth, helping children build confidence and connect with others. She believes every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and encouraged to discover the joys of learning. Her nurturing approach fosters a creative environment where young learners can explore and thrive.
